

The multi-university National Center for Sustainable Transportation, which is one of five national University Transportation Centers designated by the U.S.

researchers aimed at accelerating the commercialization of plug-in and fuel cell electric cars in China. The China Center for Energy and Transportation is a landmark international collaboration with Chinese and U.S. ITS-Davis is also home to several research centers that are leading international, national, statewide and regional initiatives. TTP alumni have gone on to serve as leaders in government, industry, and non-profit organizations. ITS-Davis also hosts a unique interdisciplinary Transportation Technology and Policy (TTP) graduate program that draws from 34 different academic disciplines. Founded in 1991, ITS-Davis has grown to include over 60 affiliated faculty and researchers, 120 graduate students, and has an annual budget of $12 million dollars. ITS-Davis researchers and students are unraveling the mysteries of consumer behavior, developing and analyzing new fuel and vehicle technologies, and producing the tools and information needed by government and industry to advance more sustainable transportation.
